Staying in Kelowna for the Gran Fondo meant we had to drive down to Penticton for our race package. As we walked around the beautiful city, checking out the very busy farmers’ market, our stomachs started to rumble. Craving something healthy for our pre-race day stock up, we wandered around until we spotted the Fresh Healthy Cafe. If you ever find yourself in Sicamous, the Houseboat Capital of Canada, you need to stop at the D Dutchmen Dairy. It has been, without a doubt, one of the best things my friend Jenn has ever introduced me too. So it goes without saying that on my way out to Penticton for the Valley First Granfondo Axel Merckx, I stopped to show Sarah this gem of a place. Established in 1978 by Chris and Nellie Dewitt, the dairy is still run by Nellie and the Dewitt family. Over the last 30 years, D Dutchmen Dairy has continued to sell old-fashioned, hand-made dairy products with a focus on top quality ingredients.
