Poolish Baguettes – Bread Baker’s Apprentice Challenge #26

Another round of baguettes! I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but seeing as I haven’t exactly created a fantastic version yet, I was a little nervous. Maybe it’s the shaping, maybe it’s the baking..either way, BBAC bread number 26 was different. Different in the most fantastic way. I loved this bread. The process was really no different than previous breads, but the results. The results, as Tony the Tiger would say…They’re Grrrrreat! I dare say, I think my bread baking skills are getting better every day.

Nothing in-depth, I know. But when things are good, sometimes it’s better to get in and out.

About to go in

Fresh out of the oven

Who wants a slice!

  1. Does a thick slice of black forest ham count H.Peter..with a nice layer of grainy mustard of course. Cause, that’s how I rolled.

  2. Sounds good to me.

However, this particular bread (by looks) could be great with the same mustard and some of that Smoked Meat from COSTCO. Take a whole pouch and a couple of slices…
