Old Country Meat & Deli – The Update

Old Country Meat & Deli
6328 106 street

If you follow my twitter feed (here), you’ll probably notice that I spend a bit of time each week at Old Country Meat & Deli. It seems like I’ve been stopping by to see Todd, pick up some of his treats, and talk shop on a regular basis since the start of the year. And seeing as Todd is always working hard on his newest creation, I figured it would be a good time to put together a little deli update of the things I’ve been eating.

Tourtiere, Sun Dried Tomato Chicken, Scotch Meat Pie

Tourtiere, Scotch Meat Pie

Sun Dried Tomato Chicken = Delish!

Scottish Lorne Sausage

Fatty Goodness!

Steak & Kidney Pie

Ginger Pork & Mango, Pepperette, Merquez

Pork Rillette, Greek Feta Sausage, Loose Italian Sausage

Pork Rillette....

...On Homemade Bread

With a wide range of sausages, meat pies, bacon, haggis, blood pudding, white pudding, meatballs, jams and more, I will definitely continue to support this local gem. I hope you will discover it for yourself one day; I promise you won’t be disappointed.

  1. I have to say it’s been quite the adventure trying the different meats Chris picks up. From Haggis to Blood Sausage all the experiences have been great! Todd runs a great shop!

  2. Ohhh… white pudding. I wish I had known about this when I lived in Edmonton and still ate meat. When we moved west from the Maritimes, we could never find it. You can pick it up at pretty much any grocery store in Nova Scota.

  3. I think I drive by there a fair bit and have never stopped in. Bad me. Any place that has pork sausage and/or pork rillettes is worth a stop in my books.
