Steak & Vegetables

With plenty of big meals lately, along with a lot of entertaining, I think tonight was the first in quite some time that Sarah and I could just sit and cook for ourselves. Putting some music on, we cleaned the kitchen, sorted through the mounds of Christmas garbage and just chilled. Sarah wanted steak, which was awesome as that made the supper even easier. Cracking a serious mound of peppercorns, I liberally coated the outside of rib steaks before hitting them in a scorching pan. In the oven I put slices of sweet potatoes in Olivado oil, while I sauteed strips of yellow and orange peppers along with onion. 30 minutes (minus oven warm up) was all it took to put this together. Now, if I’m not to be mistaken I believe it’s time to watch Despicable Me.
