Last Saturday was a time to celebrate. From a pancake breakfast to welcome to early risers, to numerous bands bringing down the house as the sun set. I think it’s safe to say that the 3rd Annual Al Fresco on 104th Street Block Party was the place to be. Having spent most of the day at the market, I went home for a few winks before returning to the party. People were filling the streets, dancing to music, waiting for food* in huge lineups, and other wise making great use of the street space. Filled with everything from wine to spray paint, clothes to knick-knacks, I kept bumping into people would really like to see this more often. And I’d have to agree. The experience was great, and made me smile from ear to ear.
It’s not hard to love this city.
*In case you missed my earlier post, don’t forget that Tres Carnales was representing!
