I don’t know about you but I’m a fiend when it comes to fruit. It’s not a strange thing for Sarah to watch me go through a bag of grapes on the way home from the grocery store or destroy 5 lbs of blueberries in one sitting. My fruit intake naturally takes a steep incline in the summer and I often find myself making a 5 or 6 lb batch of fruit salad every second day.
One of the best parts about fruit salad in my opinion, is the variety; if, for example, you don’t like grapes, it’s not the end of the world. I usually stick to a combination of berries, grapes and apples, as Sarah isn’t the biggest stone fruit fan. I always finish with the juice of a lemon and lime (add a splash of liquor for some extra zip) before letting everything mingle for 30 minutes to get them acquainted. Yummer Summer!
