Celebrate Apple Month With BC Tree Fruits

I love apples. You know this. I know this. Erin knows this. I love apples like they are going out of style. People may laugh when I say I eat 5 or 6 or 8 a day but it is oh so very true. I have eaten 2 just writing this post. I love them. It’s that simple. In the morning. In the afternoon. Underneath the moon. So what better time to talk about my love than during Apple Month with BC Tree Fruits.

“An annual celebration across Canada, Apple Month recognizes the quality produce grown on B.C. soil, while encouraging people to support local growers. “Many consumers don’t typically think of February as a month for fresh fruit, however local apples are available fresh throughout the long winter months,” comments Chris Pollock, Marketing Manager for BC Tree Fruits.”

The best part about this special month is that it’s easy to participate in. Head down to your local grocer and look for the famous BC Tree Fruits logo. Purchase some of that delicious fruit and indulge. Now that’s an easy month to celebrate. No need to make a costume or stop driving your car to work. Nope, just buy some local apples and start snacking. Of course you could make an apple tart, or maybe a poached apple stuffed with cinnamon and raisins, or an apple pie. Yeah, I say make a pie and then bring it by for sample. You can even snap a picture of yourself with your favorite apple moment and enter for chance to win $2,000!
