Empowered Yoga Teacher Training

For those that don’t know, I’ve been working on my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training through Empowered Yoga this fall. After practicing yoga for almost 15 years, it has been a heart warming and self-reflecting adventure taking on this challenge. And while it wraps up in a few weeks, I’ve already signed up to the 300HR training, which will eventually mean I will receive my 500RYT certificate! Even if you have a home studio that you regularly practice at, I’d really suggest you sign up for one of Michele’s workshops one day. She’s an amazing woman, with a ton of experience, and a real penchant for life. Michele, along with Danielle Murray, have totally made me feel like I was coming home when I practice with them. I’m truly a better person for knowing them.

One of the best parts of our training, is that we all have to teach free yoga classes. So if you’re into that (I mean who doesn’t love free yoga), or you just want to support future teachers, I’d really suggest following The CommUNITY Classes on Instagram, as they share the teachers each week. Classes are always at The Mosaic Centre, so just be prepared for the journey south. It’s not quite in Red Deer, but it’s close *sarcasm*. My first class was last week and it was a total blast! Thanks to everyone that has come out! I could talk about this yoga teacher training for ever and ever, so if you have any questions about the Empowered training, just drop me a line.

I also want to thank the amazing folks at Lululemon who sent me a package this week filled with inspiration to stay active as the months grow colder and the days shorter. I’m so grateful for their willingness to connect and share with the community.

Seriously in love with their License To Train Hoodie. It’s the perfect hoodie to throw on during the day or while training. They sell the top as being abrasion-resistant and note that the panels are engineered to resist barbell abrasion, so I’m stoked to see how it wears. Also, as someone who seems to always be hot, I’ve really enjoyed the perforated panels which seem to help regulate my heat more than expected. And now to close with an artistic selfie. Namaste bitches.
