Solstice Seasonal Cuisine – Edmonton, Alberta

Had my first meal at Solstice last night. Cozy room. Decent prices. Good food. Menu is small and concise; reminds me of Red Ox. The two knocks are both timing related. The length of time to receive our food after ordering was substantial and the dishes were delivered to the table with significant time gaps. There was easily 7 minutes (maybe more) between the time dishes started to arrive and finished arriving. It’s not rocket science to realize that this means the first plates started to lose a lot of heat. Take out the timing issues, and you have a solid addition to the Edmonton scene.
